Under the ongoing enforcement drive Operation Ploughing, Jammu Police – South Zone continues its decisive crackdown on illegal
mining. Multiple actions have also been carried out across various sub units to reinforce law, discipline, and community safety.In an action against illegal mining, Police Post Nehru Market seized one dumper found transporting material without proper authorization. The vehicle was taken into custody, and the District Mineral
Officer (DMO) has been informed for necessary action. Meanwhile, Police Post Gadigarh recovered a Tokka (sharp-edged weapon) and a formal case has been registered under FIR No.
79/2025 U/S 4/25 Arms Act at Police Station Satwari. Investigation into the circumstances of weapon possession is underway, with further legal action to follow. PP Gadigarh also successfully traced a missing person and, after completing all necessary legal formalities, reunited the individual with their family.
The effort reflects Jammu Police’s continued dedication to citizen welfare and responsive policing.Efforts to ensure road safety and maintain public order also continued across the South Zone. Police Post Bhatindi issued three
challans under the Motor Vehicles Act, while Police Post Digiana issued two such challans and initiated one preventive action to preempt potential disturbances. At Police Post Greater Kailash, two individuals found under the
influence of alcohol in public spaces were booked under preventive measures to ensure peace and order.All these actions were carried out under the close supervision of SSP Jammu, SP City South Jammu, and respective SDPOs, showcasing the consistent and grounded enforcement
