Srinagar, – CNI:- In a continued crackdown on drug-related activities, Srinagar Police has arrested a notorious drug peddler and recovered a significant quantity of psychotropic substances from his possession.
A police team from Police Station Nowhatta, during a routine checkpoint established at Syed Sahab Rajouri Kadal, apprehended the accused identified as Suhail Ahmad Shiek, son of Gh Rasool Shiek, a resident of Qutbuddin Pora Aalikadal. Upon conducting a thorough search, officers recovered a substantial quantity of banned drugs, including SpasmoProxyvon and Tapentadol, from his possession.
The arrest marks another major success in the city police’s ongoing campaign against the drug menace. A case under relevant sections of the law has been registered, and further investigation is underway to trace the supply network.
Srinagar Police reiterated its commitment to ensuring a drug-free society and has urged the public to cooperate by reporting any suspicious activities through helpline numbers or local police stations.(CNI)
