Kishtwar, , (CNI) The annual and sacred Charri Chandi Yatra (Mindal) commenced with great devotion and enthusiasm from Sarkoot Mandir, Kishtwar.
The yatra was ceremoniously flagged off by Senior Superintendent of Police Kishtwar, Shri Naresh Singh-JKPS, in the presence of Yatra organisers, police officers, and a large gathering of devotees.
Devotees from different parts of the district gathered at the Mandir to witness the auspicious beginning of this spiritually significant pilgrimage to the holy shrine of Chandi Mata Mandir at Mindal, located in Pangi (Himachal Pradesh). The atmosphere was filled with chants of “Jai Mata Di” as yatris embarked on their journey with immense devotion and spiritual fervour.
In a Statement issued to the News Agency (CNI) that on this occasion, SSP Kishtwar extended his best wishes to all pilgrims and appealed to them to pray for peace, prosperity, and harmony in the nation. He highlighted the cultural and religious importance of the yatra and emphasized the need to maintain discipline, brotherhood, and devotion throughout the pilgrimage.
He also assured that Kishtwar Police has made elaborate security and facilitation arrangements enroute to ensure a smooth, peaceful, and safe journey for all yatris. Civil and police officials have been deployed at key locations for crowd management, traffic regulation, and assistance to the pilgrims.–(CNI)
