As part of the ongoing efforts under “Operation Ploughing” launched by SP City South to combat illegal mining, Jammu Police, South Zone has once again demonstrated its commitment to curbing unlawful mining activities. In a continued crackdown, a tipper loaded with mining material was seized by a team from Police Station Channi Himmat. The vehicle, bearing registration number JK02 CS 7487, was intercepted during routine checking and found to be transporting mining material illegally. The police seized the vehicle and the District Mineral Officer (DMO), Jammu was informed for further necessary action.
Operation Ploughing, launched to tackle illegal mining and safeguard natural resources, has resulted in multiple successful seizures across the South Zone. Under the directions of the SSP Jammu and close supervision of the SP City South, SDPO East, and SDPO South, the operation continues to gain momentum with unwavering determination.
In another event today, a PCPG meeting was also held with the residents of Basant Vihar, Trikuta Nagar by SHO Police Station Bahu Fort. Approximately 25-30 residents participated in the gathering, where police engaged with the community and listened to their grievances. The platform provided an opportunity for open dialogue, strengthening the bond between the police and the public.
