To attract tourists to Kashmir: Tulip Festival, other events will be held in March and April, Says Director Tourism

Srinagar, 06 March (CNI): Kashmir Valley has seen a good influx of tourists since last year and we are optimistic that this trend will continue in the coming months, Director of Tourism Kashmir said that in an effort to attract tourists to Kashmir, various events are going to be organized in March and April, including the “Tulip Festival”.

According to Current News of India (CNI), Tourism Director Fazal Al-Huseeb said that Kashmir is witnessing a record year in terms of tourism and the tourism department is trying to increase it further. He said that 1.2 lakh tourists visited Kashmir in the month of February 2023, which has provided much-needed relief to the stakeholders of the industry.

He further said that the number of tourists visiting Kashmir in a year reached a record 2.5 million last year, which is much higher than the average of the last 40 years, there has been a good influx of tourists since last year, and we are hopeful that this trend will continue.

In an effort to attract tourists, we have planned various events in March and April, including the Tulip Festival.

To increase the number of tourists at Asia’s largest tulip garden in Srinagar, Tourism Director said that they are developing many strategies and getting ready for the upcoming tourist season. Apart from this, the Srinagar Tulip Garden has added some other varieties of tulips and other flowers, making it a special attraction for tourists.

He further said that the arrival of tourists has greatly boosted the economy of Kashmir, Winter protections were good and the travel season is expected to be busy this year. (CNI)
