Srinagar, 24 February (CNI): After the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, there has been a significant change under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, a clear example, which is the “record inflow” of tourists at airports and tourist spots in the last several months, “It’s good, people should know, it’s part of our India,” he added, this is the situation today and tourists are eager to visit Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Current News of India (CNI), while addressing a function at the Institute of Hotel Management, Catering and Nutrition in Pusa, Union Minister G Kishan Reddy said that after a record increase in tourism in Jammu and Kashmir, some politicians also and spending leisure time in other parts of the Union Territories.

It may be noted that recently, a video of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi doing ski and his sister Priyanka Gandhi enjoying a ride on a snow scooter in Gulmarg in North Kashmir went viral on social media.
The Union Tourism Minister said that after independence, there has been a record increase in the number of tourists in Jammu and Kashmir.

If we look at the data for one year, in 2022, it was about 1.8 crore tourists visited Jammu and Kashmir, says reddy, adding that there were hardly any tourists but today some politicians are also spending their leisure time in Srinagar and other parts of Jammu and Kashmir.

“It is good, people should know, this is part of our India, this is the situation today, people and tourists are eager to visit and enjoy the beauty and scenery of Jammu and Kashmir”.

Notably, in a major intervention to improve the tourism sector in Jammu and Kashmir, the central government has allocated a record Rs 786 crore in the budget for the tourism sector there, Which was Rs 509 crore more than the amount allocated in the previous budget. (CNI)
