Srinagar, 16 April (CNI): Baramulla Police arrested two drug peddlers with 80 grams of contraband Charas like substance at Kachwa Muqam Chandoosa & Ferozpora Tangmarg area in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
An official told CNI that Continuing its efforts to curb drug menace from the society, Baramulla Police on Sunday arrested two drug peddlers with contraband substance.
As per the statement, Police under the supervision of Sh Khalid Ashraf-JKPS, SDPO Kreeri assisted by Inspr Irfan Ahmad, SHO PS Chandoosa arrested Drug Peddler namely Amir Hussain Dar S/O Mohd Sultan Dar R/O Wagoora during naka checking at Kachwa Muqam Chandoosa.
During his personal search 50 grams of contraband Charas like substance was recovered from him and was taken into custody immediately.
Similarly, Police under the supervision of Sh Imtiyaz Ahmad-JKPS, SDPO Tangmarg assisted by Inspr. Tawseef Habib, SHO PS Tangmarg arrested Drug Peddler namely Parvaiz Ahmad Lone S/O Ab Rashid Lone R/O Ferozpora Tangmarg during naka checking at Ferozpora Tangmarg.
During his personal search 30 grams of contraband Charas like substance was recovered from him and was taken into custody immediately.
Cases under NDPS Act registered in Police Station Chandoosa & Tangmarg and investigations set in motion.
General People of the area hailed the efforts of Baramulla Police and showed their willingness to support police to eradicate menace of drugs from the society which is the real sign of Police Public relationship.(CNI)
