Two workers from Bihar die in aluminium factory blast

An explosion at a private aluminium business in Hazaribagh on Friday afternoon resulted in the deaths of two Bihar employees who were employed there.

The deceased have been named as Suraj Dev Sao, 55, of Mithapur, Gaya district, Bihar, and Ranjit Thakur, 45, both natives of Berudih, Gaya.

At the Kumar Metal Works Aluminium Factory in Ward Number 33 in Sirsi, which is a part of the Katkamdag police station in the Hazaribagh district, the explosion happened at 1:30 p.m.

According to local reports, it was during lunchtime and only the two workers were in close proximity to the boiler when it exploded; otherwise, the number of casualties might have been higher.

Additionally, according to sources, the blast’s force was so powerful that it tore through the windows of nearby homes and destroyed the factory’s asbestos roof. At the time of the explosion, the factory employed over 20 people.

Local police arrived on the scene right once, took custody of the bodies, and sent them to Hazaribagh Sadar Hospital. After being deemed brought dead, the bodies were transported for a post-mortem.
