Udhampur : Udhampur Police have installed a GPS tracking device (anklet) to monitor movement of an accused released on bail.

“Udhampur Police today (Sunday) installed GPS Tracker Device (anklet) to monitor the accused movement who is on interim bail issued vide order dated 27-12-2023 passed by the Court of Ld. 3rd Additional Sessions Judge, Jammu (NIA Court)”, told an official to news agency CNI.

“The GPS tracker anklet is a wearable device affixed around the ankle of the person to monitor and track his movement”, the official said.

“As per the details of the case FIR No. 97/2022 was registered in Police Station Udhampur under sections 17,18,39 and 40 of UAPA read with Sections 121 and 122 IPC, accused namely Khursheed Ahmed son of Mohd. Abdullah resident of Motla, Dessa, District Doda had applied for bail”, the official said further. (CNI)
