Urgent Need for Gandola and Infrastructure Development at Jawala Ji Asthapan, Khrew, Pampore

Jammu : We on behalf of lakhs of devotees of Mata Jawala Ji, draw your kind attention to an urgent and pressing matter concerning the Jawala Ji Asthapan located in Khrew, Pampore, which holds immense religious significance for lakhs of Kashmiri Pandits and other Hindu devotees.

Sir, Mata Jawala Ji Asthapan serves as a revered pilgrimage site, attracting devotees from far and wide throughout the year, particularly during the auspicious occasion of Jawala Chuterdeshi. However, the infrastructure and facilities at this sacred place are severely lacking, posing significant challenges to the devotees, especially the elderly and physically challenged individuals.

Sir, one of the most critical issues faced by pilgrims is the arduous ascent to the hilltop where the temple is situated. Many elderly devotees are unable to undertake this journey due to its steep and challenging nature. This has led to a decline in the number of pilgrims visiting the temple, thereby affecting the spiritual experience of countless devotees.

Moreover, there is a complete absence of essential facilities such as accommodation for overnight stays, dharmashalas, or facilities for performing puja and archana. Devotees are forced to descend to the village below for basic amenities like washrooms, which disrupts their spiritual journey and adds unnecessary hardships.

Sir, in light of these challenges, I strongly urge the immediate installation of a Gandola or electric car service to facilitate easy access to the temple premises. Such a facility would not only enhance accessibility for elderly and physically challenged pilgrims but also encourage a larger number of tourists and devotees to visit this sacred site.

Sir, additionally, there is a crucial need for infrastructural improvements at the pious spring of Jawala Mata located in Khrew village. Preserving its sensitivity and enhancing its protective measures, including the construction of a protective wall, is imperative to maintain its sanctity and ensure its longevity.

Sir ,furthermore, I appeal for Jawala Ji Asthapan to be prominently featured on the tourist map, along with other nearby religious sites such as Mata Bala Devi Asthapan in Balhama, Jiwan Sahab Asthapan in Ladhoo, Pampore, and Harishur located near Khunmoo village. This recognition would not only boost tourism but also contribute to the cultural and religious heritage of the region.

Sir, lastly, it is disheartening to note that the Dharma trust responsible for Jawala Ji Asthapan has shown little interest in addressing these critical issues. Instead of facilitating improvements, they have often hindered efforts by devotees to enhance facilities and amenities.

Sir,at the conclude , I humbly request your intervention to expedite the installation of a Gandola system and address the infrastructural deficits at Jawala Ji Asthapan, Khrew, Pampore. This comprehensive approach will ensure that this sacred site continues to serve as a beacon of spirituality and cultural heritage for generations to come.

Thank you sir, for your attention to this urgent matter. I look forward to your positive response and swift action on behalf of the lakhs of devotees who hold Jawala Ji Asthapan in high reverence.

Yours sincerely,
