POONCH, (CNI): Organised by Shaheed DySP Manjit Singh Memorial Volleyball Club, a month-long Summer Volleyball coaching camp started today at Government Degree College ground, here.

Around 60 boys and girls have been enrolled by the organisers for the specialised training camp. The camp got underway in the presence of star volleyball player from the district, Ayaz Ahmad Madni, who has been selected for the Indian senior men volleyball team camp prior to participation in the CAVA Volleyball League.

Ayaz Ahmad Madni was also felicitated by the chief guest, former Divisional Sports Officer of J&K Sports Council and district association secretary, Krishan Lal Sharma for his achievement.

Earlier, speaking to the budding spikers from different parts of the UT, Krishan Sharma appreciated the efforts of Mohd Tariq, chairman of Shaheed Manjit Volleyball Club for his dedication towards the youth of remote and boarder areas.

Pardeep Khanna was the guest of honour, who briefed the gathering about the month long camp, on behalf of the organisers.
