Mendhar, CNI โ€“ A significant sporting event aimed at identifying and promoting young talent took place today at Government High School Uchhad, where a Volleyball Talent Hunt Trial was organized under the supervision of Mohd Tariq, Chairman of Shaheed Dysp Manjeet Singh

Volleyball Club and an internationally renowned volleyball coach.The event drew enthusiastic participation from youth across the region, eager to showcase their skills and earn a spot in the prestigious club. Following a day of intense trials and assessment of fitness, skill level,

coordination, and teamwork, a total of 18 players were selected for advanced training and future representation.Mohd Tariq, known for his tireless efforts in promoting sports in border and rural areas, motivated all the participating players during the event. In his address, he emphasized the importance of sports in developing discipline, confidence, and a sense of purpose among the

youth.He urged the players and attending youth to stay away from drugs and other harmful distractions, underlining that sports can be a powerful medium for personal growth and social transformation. He said that young people must channel their energy into productive activities

and strive to make their families and community proud through their achievements.This trial was a part of a broader initiative led by Shaheed Dysp Manjeet Singh Volleyball Club to provide opportunities to rural youth who often lack access to proper coaching and exposure.

The selected 18 players will now undergo regular professional training sessions and will be groomed to participate in upcoming district and state-level volleyball tournaments.The event concluded with a vote of thanks to the school authorities, local volunteers, and the physical education staff for their support in organizing the trials successfully.

The presence of parents, teachers, and local sports lovers further boosted the morale of the young players.More such talent hunt programs and awareness camps are scheduled in the coming weeks in other parts of Mendhar and surrounding areas.
