Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir’s Director General of Police (DGP) RR Swain asserted that the war against terrorism is ongoing in the region, emphasizing that it concludes only when one side acknowledges the futility of bloodshed and accepts defeat. Speaking at a function at Gurdwara Chattipadshahi, DGP Swain stated that despite facing occasional setbacks, the fight against terrorism will persist.
As per the News Agency Current News of India (CNI) Addressing concerns about police commitment, DGP Swain made it clear that there is no question of backtracking from the ongoing battle against terrorism. Responding to queries on infiltration, he noted that the issue’s public discussion is inappropriate, stating that infiltration levels might fluctuate but should not be openly disclosed.
On the occasion of Gurupurab, DGP Swain paid rich tributes to Guru Nanak Devji, highlighting the continued relevance of his teachings. He expressed the police’s renewed commitment to serving the people and emphasized Guru Nanak Devji’s timeless message of equality and unity.
