Srinagar, 27 Aug (CNI) : On the eve of annual Urs of sufi saint Hazrat Qamar-ud-Din Bukhari (RA), the authorities on saturday ordered closure of at least 13 schools on 28th and 29th August in Ganderbal district.
As per the circular issued here by Chief Education Officer Ganderbal, a copy of which lies with News-agency Current News of India, reads that atleast 13 schools will remain closed in Bamloora, Saloora and Duderhama areas of the district on the occasion of annual Urs of sufi saint Hazrat Qamar-ud-Din Bukhari (RA).
The order reads “Apropas to the subject and referecnce cited above. In this context the following schools of Zone Ganderbal (Government/Private) shall remain closed on 28 and 29th of August-2023 on the eve of Urs Qamar-Ud-Din Sahib (RA).”
The schools including GPS Bamloora , Qamariya HSS Ganderbal , Sultania HS Ganderbal, GHSS Ganderbal, MS Gangerhama, MS Saloora, GMS Ganderbal in saloora area and BHSS Ganderbal, New Tiny Hearts Ganderbal, MS Duderhama, Orford HS Fatehpora, MS Fatehpora, PS Checki Fatehpora in Duderhama area, reads the area.
Pertinently to mention here that thousands of people are expected to participate in the Urs for which the J&K administration has made elaborated arrangements.(CNI)
