The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday claimed to have recovered a minor girl after she was allegedly kidnapped in Baramulla.
In a statement issued to news agency Current News of India-CNI, Baramulla Police said that they have recovered abductee within 6 hour and arrested Kidnapper.
“On 21/07/2023, one person (name withheld) lodged a written complaint with Police Post Palhallan stating therein that his daughter’s (name withheld) aged about 16 years has been kidnapped by one person namely Gowhar Abbas S/O Mohd Abbas Wani Resident of Kralwari Chadoora,” statement reads.
It reads, “To this effect, case FIR under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Pattan.”
“On this information, Police Post Palhallan swung into action and recovered the abductee within 6 hours from Gamandar Chadoora Budgam and the accused has also been arrested from the spot,” it reads.
Officials said that after completing the legal formalities, the abductees were handed over to their legal heirs. Further Investigation of the case is going on.(CNI)
