2 held with E-cigarettes worth Rs 15.9 L at Bengaluru Airport

28 September, 2023 New Delhi: Two people were detained by Bengaluru Customs officials on Monday for allegedly smuggling 1,590 packets of e-cigarettes valued Rs 15.9 lakh.

The suspects, who flew with Malaysia Airlines into Bengaluru Airport, were detained based on profiling, according to a senior customs official.
They tried to carry 1590 packages of electronic cigarettes worth Rs 15.9 lakh. According to the Customs Act’s rules, both have been detained.

Further investigations into the matter are on.
