Gandarbal, 22 Aug (CNI): A 20-year-old youth dies after he drowned accidentally in Nallah Sindh at Yachama Mammer area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on tuesday afternoon.
Reports reaching News-agency Current News of India that a youth identified as Zakir Ahmad Thekri, son of Ghulam Qadir Thekri, died after he slipped into Nallah Sindh Nallah at Yachama Mammer area in Ganderbal district.
Soon after the incident, a rescue operation was launched by locals and police to retrieve him and the body was retrieved after hectic efforts.
Meanwhile, after completing Medico-Legal formalities, the body was handed over to legal heirs for last rites. (CNI)
