Police have arrested three persons who robbed a businessman by making a fake story of a road accident. According to sources, three persons, including a man and his son, were arrested for allegedly causing an accident to a truck carrying goods worth lakhs of rupees belonging to a businessman in Doda district. As per news agency Current News Of India-CNI, a police officer said Stolen goods worth Rs 11 lakh were recovered on the disclosure of three accused arrested from different parts of Doda. He said that a load carrier had fallen into Chenab river along the Doda-Kishtwar highway in Thathri area, and the police investigated the incident. The officer said that during the investigation it was revealed that Shamim Ahmed, a resident of Bhalla village in Doda, was driving the vehicle at the time of the accident. Officer said that Shamim revealed that he along with his father Basheer Ahmad and another person named Ashiq Ali created a fake story of accident to defraud his employer, a businessman from Jammu, who had sent him to Kishtwar for delivery of goods. The officer said that the accused dumped the last part of the consignment, such as food items, cosmetics, garments, hardware and sanitary items, at various places before the accident. (CNI)
