The Police has arrested a fourty-six year old man for allegedly raping a minor girl in Srinagar.
According to the Police, a 15-year-old girl was allegedly raped by Mohd Iqbal Sheikh who is 46 year old of Kanthpora, Sogam Kupwara presently staying in Pamposh Colony Srinagar.
Srinagar Police in a tweet as per news agency CNI said, “One Mohd Iqbal Sheikh (46 years) S/o Ghulam Qadir Sheikh R/o Kanthpora, Sogam Kupwara presently staying in Pamposh Colony, Srinagar arrested for raping a minor 15 year old girl.”
Police said that the accused is a relative of the child.
An FIR no 92/2023 U/S 352,376,506 IPC & 3/4 POCSO act gas been registered in Police Station Safakadal and further investigation has been initiated. (CNI)
