Srinagar, 29 Aug (CNI) : A 6-year-old minor boy was mauled to death in leopard attack in Nesbal Sumbal area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district on tuesday morning .
Reports reaching News-agency Current News of India (CNI) that a 6-year-old boy identified as Zaid Bashir s/o Bashir Ahmad of Nesbal Sumbal went missing on monday evening, his parents began searching in the neighbourhood. As they could not find him till late in the night, his parents called police department and launched a massive search operation with the help of Police, 13RR , CRPF, local populace of the area to trace him.
An official said that after 11 hours of search, the body of 6-year-old was found in a nearby mountains in Nesbal on early morning of Tuesday and after completion of Medico-Legal formalities the body was handed over to his family members for last rites.
Meanwhile Scared residents are appealing to Wildlife officials to lay a trap for the wild animal so that these incidents would not happen in the future. (CNI)
