Srinagar, 18 April (Ashiq Tilgami-CNI) : Properties worth lakhs of rupees gutted as
Seven residential houses and a shopping complex were gutted in a devastating fire blaze opposite to Sir Syed Gate of Kashmir University at Dargah hazratbal of Srinagar city on Monday.
Reports recieved by News-agency Current News of India (CNI) that flames broke out of a shop and within no time the fire spread to nearby Structures that left several families affected.
Soon after noticing the flames locals and police reached to the spot and informed the fire fighting service about it and soon several fire fighting units reached to the spot to douse the flames, but couldn’t save the property.
An official told News agency-Current News of India (CNI) that at least seven residential houses and a shopping complex suffered damage in the devastating fire incident . The timely action prevented the fire from spreading further in the congested locality, he said, adding that there was no loss of life or injury in the incident.
A police official told CNI that the cause of the fire is being investigated. (CNI)
