ADGP L&O J&K reviews preparations for upcoming polls, hairs high level meeting PCR Kashmir

 Srinagar:(CNI) As the elections are just around the corner, End Order for the Additional General Police (ADGP) Jammu and Kashmir, who is also the Police Nodal Officer (SPNO) for the 2024 by-elections. View the position of an important high-level meeting today. To review and sell the preparation of the electoral process in the Police Control Room (PCR).  

 

The meeting focused on very important aspects to ensure peace in the elections of Jammu and Kashmir.

In the meeting ADGG practically accompanied ICRF Jammu and other BFP/PS of BF/CRSSB along with company and physically IGCRF SOS Shri. Ajay Yad, IGBSF Shri Ashok Yad, IGC CRPF Cos Shri G Verma, IGP Kashmir Zone participated. Shri VK Bardi, DIG CKR Srinagar, DIG SKR Anantnag, DIG SB Kashmir, DIG CRPF North Srinagar, SSPCR Kashmir, party officials from IGP Kashmir and others.

 

During the meeting important discussions were held to strengthen the law and order around the perimeter, especially on site security measures and smoothing. Replicate electoral processes and develop measures to secure and select polls to provide repeated votes to ensure their security and efficiency during the electoral process.

 

Additionally, the meeting highlighted the need for robustness to protect the integrity of the electoral process, stressing the fundamental strength of securing the ballot room where ballots are kept safe.

 

A strategy should be implemented to ensure security measures at these important polling stations by special measures and also to strengthen the requirements of the electoral process from a point of view.

 

The IGP briefed the Kashmir Chair on the existing security plans, following which there is a need to restore and strengthen the GPL and security arrangements. Special attention was paid to the manpower, ensuring a strategic position for them to effectively respond to any situation.

 

ADPL and law enforcement agencies are committed to the principles of ensuring a safe and fair election. Continually monitoring and evaluating the situation should the outcome of the meeting change, focusing on pre-emptive measures to minimize any bias that may arise during the election process.(CNI)
