After three decades, “J&K witnesses incident free elections” : ADGP Vijay Kumar

Srinagar, June 08 (CNI): Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Law & Order Vijay Kumar Saturday said that Jammu and Kashmir recorded incident free election after three decades.

 

The ADGP said, “After 30 to 35 years incident free elections have been conducted in Jammu and Kashmir.”

 

Kumar said this during a joint Darbar of IRP 3rd, IRP 9th, IRP 20th, IRP 21th at Parihaspora Pattan.

 

“People only come out to vote when they feel that there is no threat to them from any person. Police and security forces have done their job,” Kumar said.

 

He further said that the incident free elections have also increased poll percentage. “This is for the first when no major law and order incident have taken place.“ (CNI)
