A Deafening Silence from the Mamta Banerjee Government and Centre as Hindus Face Targeted Violence.West Bengal is once again witnessing a wave of chaos, fear, and blood-stained unrest.
The recent developments following the passage of the Waqf (Amendment) Bill have unleashed a reign of targeted violence that has particularly struck at the heart of the Hindu community. What began as a legislative step meant to regulate Waqf properties has dangerously been twisted into a communal fault line, with
horrifying consequences on the ground.Temples desecrated. Hindu homes looted. Shops set ablaze, and son father killed. And in the midst of all this, one voice that should have spoken loudest—Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee—
remains deafeningly silent. Her silence is not just political indifference; it reeks of complicity. As the state burns, her government appears either unwilling or incapable of reining in the anti-Hindu elements who have unleashed this terror.
But what’s even more concerning is the silence from the Centre.Where is the moral responsibility of the Union Government when citizens of this country are being persecuted for their faith? Where are the strong statements, the immediate interventions, the firm directives to restore law
and order in Bengal? The very people who placed their faith in national leadership to stand with them during times of crisis now feel orphaned—abandoned by both the state and the Centre. The Hindu community in Bengal today feels unprotected, unheard, and unsafe. The desecration of temples is not just an attack on bricks and idols—it is an attack on the soul of India. It is an insult to centuries of heritage,
tradition, and identity. And yet, neither the ruling TMC nor the Centre has so far demonstrated the urgency or will to stop this madness. It is high time that the Union Government breaks its silence. It must send central forces if needed, order a thorough NIA probe, and take strict
action against the perpetrators of communal violence, regardless of their political or religious affiliations.India cannot afford to remain a mute spectator when a state is on fire, and its majority community is under siege.
The nation demands action. The Hindus of Bengal demand justice. [ Kundan Kashmiri] Kashmir Watcher,& President Kashmiri Pandit Conference ( KPC )Mobile No 8802167955Email kundankashmiri@gnail.com
