Awareness Camp on CPR and Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir

The NCC Unit of Government Degree College Reasi, in collaboration with Government Nursing College, Reasi, organized an Awareness Camp on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) to create awareness among students about emergency life-saving techniques and the importance of timely medical intervention.

The programme was formally inaugurated by Prof. Apfan Ali, who highlighted the importance of developing basic life-saving skills among students. Around 30 students of Government Nursing College, Reasi actively participated in the programme and demonstrated the correct procedure of performing CPR and other essential measures to save the life of a patient during an emergency.


A total of 70 NCC cadets actively participated in the awareness programme and learned the practical techniques demonstrated by the nursing students. The session provided the participants with valuable knowledge about responding effectively to cardiac emergencies and potentially saving precious lives.


The programme was organized under the supervision of Lt. Rakesh Kumar, Associate NCC Officer (ANO), GDC Reasi, and under the overall supervision and guidance of the Worthy Principal, Prof. Mamta Gupta.


At the conclusion of the programme, a pledge for a Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir was administered to the students of Government Nursing College, NCC cadets and staff members. The pledge was taken collectively by Ms. Aman Bhagat, Tutor; Ms. Tania Sharma, Tutor, Government Nursing College; Dr. Omar Habib, Convener, NCORD; Prof. Apfan Ali; Prof. Anju Devi; Dr. Ghayas Ahmed; and Mr. Rakesh Kumar, Director Physical Education & Sports/Associate NCC Officer, along with other staff members.


The programme successfully combined health awareness, life-saving skills and the message of a drug-free Jammu & Kashmir, encouraging students to become responsible and socially conscious citizens. CNI NEWS
