Police on thursday claimed to have arrested two persons along with 13 kilograms of banned forest herbs(Sheetkhar) during a naka checking at Drung Tangmarg.
As per the statement, Police under the supervision of Sh Imtiaz Ahmed-JKPS, SDPO Tangmarg assisted by Inspr Tawseef Habib SHO PS Tangmarg arrested two persons namely Zubair Ahmad Malik S/O Ab Majeed Malik R/O Mashkhud & Adil Ahmad Khan S/O Gh Mohd Khan R/O Ganiwani during naka checking at Drung Tangmarg who were coming towards Tangmarg and after noticing the police party they tried to flee away but were apprehended tactfully and were taken into custody immediately.
During their search 13 Kgs of Banned Forest Herbs (Sheetkhar)* were recovered from their possession.
Cases under IPC & Forest Act registered in Police Station Tangmarg and investigations set in motion.
General People of the area hailed the efforts of Baramulla Police and showed their willingness to support police to eradicate menace of drugs from the society which is the real sign of Police Public relationship.(CNI)
