Baramulla, 03 Sep (CNI) : District Police Baramulla has cautioned the general public about potential use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology by cyber criminals to carry out scams.
In the interest of the general public it is being intimated that cyber criminals are using AI technology to clone voices and directly call the victim’s contacts pretending to be in distress.
A new trend of duping people to extract money from people by scammers calling and impersonating as army personnel from different camps and asking for supplying hardware items from nearby stores and also asking for sharing bank account details.
It is important to remain vigilant and take proactive measures and should verify the caller, use a code word, or ask a question only they would know.
