Baramulla’s Missing Girl Recovered From Delhi, Two Abductors Arrested: Police

The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday claimed to have recovered missing girl of Baramulla from Delhi and arrested two abductors.

In a statement, according to news agency Current News of India-CNI, the Police Spokesperson said that “on 01/07/2023, one person (name withheld) lodged a written complaint with Police Post Palhallan stating therein that his daughter (name withheld) aged about 19 years was missing from home since 30/06/2023.”

The spokesperson said that “to this effect, case FIR No. 222/ 2023 u/s 366 IPC was registered at Police Station Pattan.”

“During the course of investigation it came fore that the missing girl has been abducted by some unknown persons. Further investigation and with the help of technical evidences that accused persons and prosecutrix have left UT of J&K for New Delhi,” he said.


The statement reads as “On this, Police Post Palhallan swung into action and consequently a team was constituted who proceeded towards New Delhi we’re from Prosecutrix was recovered and the accused have also been arrested who were identified as Ashiq Ali Mangral S/O Mohd Akram Mangral R/O Tuli Reasi & Deep Kumar S/O Sadha Ram R/O Chalabeni Kathua.”

“After completing the legal formalities, the abductee was handed over to her legal heirs,” it reads.

Investigation of the case is going on.(CNI)
