Srinagar, 01 Sep (CNI) : In a shocking incident that has sent shockwaves throughout the region, Er. Gurmeet Singh, AEE of the Roads and Buildings department, was reported missing on August 25, 2023. His lifeless body was tragically discovered floating at the Ganttamulla barrage on August 29th, three days after his disappearance. Er. Gurmeet Singh was known for his unwavering dedication to his duty and his commitment to transparency and honesty within the system.
Er. Gurmeet Singh’s untimely demise is a deeply saddening loss to our community and to the noble cause of upholding integrity and transparency. His commitment to these values resonates with the vision set forth by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has consistently championed transparency and honesty as key pillars of governance.
He said, it is a matter of great concern that individuals who seek to undermine the principles of honesty and transparency have targeted Er. Gurmeet Singh. This brazen act challenges not only his personal integrity but also the progress that Jammu and Kashmir has been making towards a more transparent and accountable governance system.
In response to this tragic incident, leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have taken proactive steps to address the situation. They have met with District Commissioner (DC) and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) in Baramulla to urge a thorough and swift investigation into this heart-wrenching incident.
