Strongly condemning the recent civilians killings, people in Budgam took out candle-light marches across all major towns of the district today.
The candle- light protests taken out in Budgam, Chadoora, Magam, Charar-i-Sharief, Khansahib and other areas were also joined by members from civil society, religious scholars, respected elders, youth and other influential persons from different walks of life.
Terming the killings of two Amritsar citizens in Shaheed Gung area of Srinagar on Wednesday evening as “barbaric and inhuman”, the protesters demanded end to these innocents killings and urged authorities to bring perpetrators to the book.
