International Mother Language Day, emphasizing the significance of linguistic diversity and cultural heritage. The event underscored the vital role of the mother tongue in fostering knowledge and preserving cultural identity.
The program commenced with introductory remarks by the Principal, Prof. Dr. Eazaz Hussain Rizvi, who highlighted the importance of the mother tongue as a medium for understanding scientific concepts in a simplified manner. He stressed that linguistic preservation is essential for intellectual growth and cultural sustainability.
The resource persons, Prof. Mohammad Amin Mir and Dr. Hasrat Hussain, delivered detailed talks on the Importance of Mother Language, discussing its current status and challenges. Their deliberations resonated with the audience, providing valuable insights into the role of native languages in education and society.
Students actively participated by reciting Kashmiri ghazals in memory of their mother tongue, celebrating its literary richness. The interactive session allowed students to engage with the experts, posing thought-provoking questions that were answered to their complete satisfaction.
