The BJP stepped up its attack on the Congress after Kharge criticized it for abrogating Article 370 of the Constitution, which granted special status to the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir.
“Congress president Mallikarjan Kharge said in Rajasthan that removal of Article 370 makes a difference here. If a party says that Kashmir’s integration makes a difference in other states, then it is clear that you (Congress) It doesn’t matter,” BJP national spokesperson Sidhanshu Trivedi alleged that respecting the oath taken by everyone for the unity and integrity of the country.

He added that the Congress could now call itself a “conglomerate of regional powers”.
With the abrogation of Article 370 of the Constitution, Trivedi said, the Narendra Modi government fulfilled the BJP’s pledge of “national integration” that was taken under the leadership of the party’s founding member Syama Prasad Mukherjee, who lost his life was sacrificed this.
The BJP leader said, “This is the difference between our thinking and their (Congress) thinking.
Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday attacked the Congress, calling Kharge’s remarks “shameful”.
He also reminded the Congress that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India and every state and citizen has a right to it just as the people of Jammu and Kashmir have a right to the rest of the country.
Shah and other BJP leaders, including its president JP Nadda, shared a short clip of Kharge’s speech on X, in which he is heard targeting the ruling party for talking about the abrogation of Article 370.
“Brother, what does this have to do with the people here?” Kharge is heard asking in the clip. The Congress chief also wrongly referred to Article 371 instead of Article 370.
Addressing a press conference at the BJP headquarters here, Trivedi took a jibe at the opposition party’s reference to Kharge’s Article 371 of the Constitution, saying, “Congress is probably afraid of 370 now and maybe out of desperation, they have Call it 371.”
The BJP leader also launched a fresh attack on the Congress over its alliance with the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML), saying that Prime Minister Modi’s allegation that the Congress’ Lok Sabha election manifesto was imprinted by the Muslim League was “absolutely true”.
“This (IUML) is the same Muslim League that was led by Muhammad Ali Jinnah before independence. After independence, only its name has changed, not its function,” he said. Congress is also the same. It feels that the Muslim League.
Trivedi alleged that the Congress has a “clear strategy” to create divisions in the country based on “region, caste and language” to gain power.
He said that the BJP under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi wants to bring all sections of society into the “mainstream” of the country. “They (Congress) want to keep them away from the mainstream,” alleged a BJP leader.(CNI)
