CUK holds one day workshop on ‘legal journalism and judgement report writing’

Sep, 19, 2023 CNI News: A one-day workshop on “Legal Journalism & Judgement Report Writing” was organised on Monday at the Tulmulla campus of Central University Kashmir’s School of Legal Studies.
The purpose of the course was to teach students the fundamentals of producing judgement reports and legal journalism.
The workshop’s organiser, Dr. Mudasir Ahmad Bhat, an assistant professor of law and legal advisor at CUK, gave a welcome address and expressed his congratulations. Head and Dean of the School of Legal Studies, Prof. (Dr.) Farooq Ahmad Mir extended a warm welcome to everyone in attendance and spoke specifically about the workshop’s theme.The inaugural speech was given on the eve by Prof. (Dr.) Shahid Rasool, dean of academic affairs at CUK.

The workshop officially began with the Training Session, which was presided over by Mohammad Ibrahim Wani, a former principal district and sessions judge. Thereafter, Marouf Ahmad, a senior consulting editor, D.A. Rashid, a senior legal correspondent, and Ahsan-ul-Shafi, a member of the bar and bench, presided over the remaining sessions.

The instructors who led the training sessions thoroughly explored the workshop’s content and interacted with the students to address their questions.

The Central University of Kashmir’s Registrar, Prof. (Dr.) Mohd Afzal Zargar, presided over the valedictory address and certificate distribution.

Bilal Ahmad Ganai, an assistant professor in the department of law at Central University of Kashmir, gave a vote of thanks near the end.
