The Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) expresses profound and heartfelt condolences to the families of the nine Hindu victims who tragically lost their lives in a terrorist attack who were traveling in a bus from Shiv Khori temple to Mata Vaishno Devi in the Reasi district of Jammu region. Among the nine victims, seven were pilgrims from Uttar Pradesh. This heinous act underscores the persistent threat posed by Pakistan-based terrorist elements seeking to instigate unrest and revive militancy in the Jammu region.

This tragic incident occurred merely an hour before the oath ceremony by the Prime Minister of India and other members of the Council of Ministers, highlighting the audacity and timing of these attacks aimed at provoking India.

Kashmiri Pandit Conference ( KPC ) firmly believes that the Government needs to take strong measures to counter such threats and ensure the safety and security of all pilgrims. It is imperative that maximum financial assistance is provided to the victims’ families to support them in their time of grief.

We also request the Government to provide full protection to all citizens of Jammu and Kashmir including yatris visiting the holy sites of Vaishno Devi and Amarnath, which needs to be prioritized to prevent such tragedies in the future.

KPC and whole KP community strongly condemn this barbaric attack and calls for stringent action against those responsible for perpetuating terrorism and violence.

In this moment of sorrow, the KPC extends its solidarity to the affected families and the broader community. We urge the Government to enhance security measures and act decisively against the forces aiming to disrupt peace in the region.CNI

With deep sympathy,
