Director Health Services Kashmir Holds Meeting to Ensure Foolproof Arrangements for Muharram-Ul-Haram

Srinagar,(CNI): Dr. Mushtaq Ahmad Rather, the Director of Health Services Kashmir, convened a pivotal meeting today at 2:30 PM at the Camp Office, Old Secretariat Srinagar, to discuss and finalize the arrangements for the observance of Muharram-Ul-Haram 1445. The meeting, chaired by Dr. Rather, was attended by key officials both in person and virtually.

 

The Directorate of Health Services Kashmir has long been committed to ensuring comprehensive arrangements for Muharram observances throughout the valley. This year is no exception, with meticulous planning and coordination in place to manage the health and safety of the public during this significant religious observance.

 

Attendees included the Deputy Director of Health Services (HQ) Kashmir, the Chief Accounts Officer, the Deputy Director (Dentistry) and Nodal Officer for Muharram-Ul-Haram 2024, the Controller of Stores Barzulla and staff, Chief Medical Officers from across Kashmir, the Incharge of Purchase, and the Dealing Assistant for Budget. Chief Medical Officers from Anantnag, Ganderbal, Shopian, and Kupwara joined the meeting virtually.

 

The agenda of the meeting covered reviewing healthcare arrangements for Muharram processions, ensuring the availability and readiness of medical supplies and emergency services, coordinating between various health departments and district administrations, deploying and allocating medical staff across the valley, ensuring strict adherence to health protocols and guidelines, addressing potential health emergencies and disaster management strategies, finalizing the schedule for inspection visits to different districts, and establishing communication channels for real-time monitoring and reporting.

 

Dr. Rather reiterated the commitment to providing seamless healthcare services during Muharram and ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants. The Directorate’s longstanding dedication to thorough and proactive planning has been instrumental in managing the healthcare needs during Muharram observances year after year.(CNI)
