Disconnect service to consumers with huge outstanding arrears, AEE PDD Tangmarg orders
The Power Development Department has issued an order about mass disconnection of electricity connections of consumers with huge electricity arrears.
A copy issued by Assistant Executive Engineer, Sub Division Tangmarg, as per news agency Current News of India-CNI, reads as, “Enclosed is the feeder wise list of defaulters having huge outstanding arrears, all consumers (except Govt. departments) be disconnected immediately.”
“The consumers be reconnected only after liquidation of their outstanding arrears. Each section is required to submit disconnection ATR for all consumers as per enclosed list,” it reads.
The connections of defaulters with fees that are overdue for at least three months and more would be disconnected, a PDD official told CNI.
He added that there are approximately 485 connections in Tangmarg’s electricity division that are likely to be disconnected. (CNI)
