Kishtwar, (CNI): SSP Kishtwar, Mr. Abdul Qayyum-JKPS has shown strong commitment to maintain the integrity and transparency of the election process. Following the instructions of the Election Commission of India, people are reminded that carrying more than Rs 50,000 in cash is prohibited during the election period. This regulation is very important to ensure fair and impartial elections.
An important discovery was made during the routine canal checking at Parna Chingam Chitru, an inter-district canal in Kishtwar, with the help of SHOPS Chitru, Inspector Vikram Singh and PSI Pinto Raina.
An unaccounted amount, totaling Rs 500,000 (5 lakhs) was seized from the possession of the dealer Muhammad Ashraf Rishi son of Abdul Aziz Rishi, a resident of Chitro. Mr. Rishi Gadol was traveling from Anantnag in a Tavera taxi bearing registration number JK02AV 1937.
This implementation confirms the commitment of the authorities to maintain the integrity of the electoral process and ensure strict implementation of the Election Commission’s directives.
The seized cash was immediately handed over to the Election Flying Squad Team (FST) at Chittu, strictly following established protocols and procedures.” (CNI)
