Baramulla Police on Sunday arrested a Drug smuggler arrested, recovered 8 grams of contraband Heroin like substance & 13 bottles Illicit liquor during a naka checking at Muqam Chandoosa in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
As per the statement, Police under the supervision of Sh Khalid Ashraf-JKPS, SDPO Kreeri assisted by Inspr Nisar Ahmad SHO PS Chandoosa arrested Drug smuggler namely Irfan Ahmad Khan S/O Mukhtar Ahmad Khan R/O Khan Sahib Budgam during naka checking at Muqam Chandoosa who was coming in a vehicle bearing registration number JK01AQ-6274 towards Muqam Chandoosa and after noticing the police party tried to flee away but was apprehended tactfully and was taken into custody immediately.
During search of the vehicle 8 grams of contraband Herion like substance & 13 bottles of Illicit liquor was recovered and the vehicle was also seized on spot.
Case under NDPS/ Excise Act registered in Police Station Chandoosa and investigations set in motion.
