Srinagar, 28 May (CNI) : Baramulla Police arrested a drug smuggler and recovered 15 grams of contraband Brown Sugar like substance from his possession at Hospital Crossing Baramulla in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
As per the police statement, police under the supervision of Sajjad Bukhari-JKPS, DySP Hqrs Baramulla assisted by DySP Prob. Naveed Shokat, SHO PS Baramulla arrested a wanted Drug smuggler namely Tawseef Nabi Ganie @ Tawseef Pujj S/O Ghulam Nabi Ganie R/O Stadium Colony Baramulla, during naka checking at Hospital Crossing Baramulla, who was coming from Khawajabagh towards Baramulla and upon seeing the naka party tried to flee from the spot but was apprehended tactfully.
During his personal search, 15 grams of contraband Brown Sugar like substance was recovered from him and was taken into custody immediately.
Meanwhile a Case under NDPS Act registered in Police Station Baramulla and investigations set in motion.
General People of the area hailed the efforts of Baramulla Police and showed their willingness to support police to eradicate menace of drugs from the society which is the real sign of Police Public relationship.(CNI)
