Srinagar, 10 June (CNI) : Pattan Police arrested a drug smuggler alongwith 72 Tablets of Spasmo Proxyvon Plus & 4 Syrups of Codeine Phosphate at Palhallan Morh Pattan during naka checking.
As per the statement, Police under the supervision of Altaf Ahmad Khan-JKPS, Offg. SDPO Pattan assisted by PSI Aeraf Niyaz, IC PP Palhallan arrested a Drug smuggler namely Aijaz Ahmad Wani @ Shabir S/O Ghulam Nabi Wani R/O Bhat Mohalla Pattan during naka checking at Palhallan Morh Pattan who was coming from Pattan towards Palhallan and upon seeing the naka party he tried to flee from the spot but was apprehended tactfully.
During his personal search 72 Tablets of Spasmo Proxyvon Plus & 4 Syrups of Codeine Phosphate was recovered from him and was taken into custody immediately.
Cases under NDPS Act registered in Police Station Pattan and investigations set in motion.
General People of the area hailed the efforts of Baramulla Police and showed their willingness to support police to eradicate menace of drugs from the society which is the real sign of Police Public relationship.(CNI)
