Pattan, 02 June (CNI) :Baramulla Police arrested a drug smuggler and recovered 53 grams of contraband Charas like substance from his possession at Noorbagh Crossing Wussan area in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
As per the statement, Police under the supervision of Mohd Nawaz-JKPS, SDPO Pattan assisted by PSI Showkat Ahmad, IC PP Wussan arrested Drug smuggler namely Sarvar Ahmad Ganie S/O Ab Bashir Ganie R/O Wussan Khoie during naka checking at Noorbagh Crossing Wussan who was coming from Sultanpora towards Wussan and upon seeing the naka party tried to flee from the spot but was apprehended tactfully.
During his personal search 53 grams of contraband Charas like substance was recovered from him and was taken into custody immediately.
Case under NDPS Act registered in Police Station Pattan and investigations set in motion.
General People of the area hailed the efforts of Baramulla Police and showed their willingness to support police to eradicate menace of drugs from the society which is the real sign of Police Public relationship.(CNI)
