Baramulla, 27 June (CNI): Baramulla Police on tuesday arrested a Drug smuggler alongwith 13 kgs of contraband Poppy Straw like substance during raid conducted at his house at Mulgam Kunzer area in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
As per the statement, On a specific information regarding presence of contraband in the house of Gh Mohammad Tantray S/O Habibullah Tantray R/O Mulgam Kunzer. Police under the supervision of Imtiaz Ahmed-JKPS, SDPO Tangmarg assisted by Inspr Waseem Jahangir, SHO PS Kunzer alongwith Executive Magistrate raided the said house and during search 13 Kgs of contraband Poppy Straw like substance was recovered from his possession, who tried to flee away but was apprehended tactfully and was taken into custody immediately.
Case under NDPS Act registered in Police Station Kunzer and investigations set in motion.
General People of the area hailed the efforts of Baramulla Police and showed their willingness to support police to eradicate menace of drugs from the society which is the real sign of Police Public relationship.(CNI)
