Elderly Patient Stuck with IV trip After Staff Leaves Health Centre In Anantnag

Anantnag :(CNI) In a shocking incident, staffers at a health center in Gujarbasti Pathalan village of Kapran area in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Monday allegedly locked up the facility and left while leaving a elderly man patient inside the facility.

 

An official told news agency Current News Of India-(CNI) said an elderly man (65) namely Mohd Mushahid a resident of Ringmathas Gujarbasti Anantnag was allegedly abandoned by staff at a health center.

 

The staffers reportedly locked the facility and left while the elderly man age around 70-years was still inside receiving an IV drip.

 

Mohd Mushahid, the victim, arrived at the NTPHC Ringmathas Gajarbasti Pathanlan Kapran for a checkup due to illness, but the staff administered an IV drip but then left the facility, locking Mushahid inside.

Stranded for over an hour, Mushahid eventually had to remove the IV drip himself.

 

Locals who gathered outside the hospital expressed outrage at the staff’s negligence and demanded action against those responsible.

 

Dr.Mohd Yousuf the Block Medical Officer Verinag, told news agency Current News Of India- (CNI) four employees has been suspended and he has assured that an investigation is underway and those found guilty will face legal action.(CNI)
