Srinagar 28 Sep: An encounter broke out between militants and security forces in South Kashmir Kulgam district’s Adigam Devsar area on Saturday, police said.
As per the news agency CNS, the Kashmir Zone Police in a post on X said, “Encounter has started at Adigam Devsar area of Kulgam. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow.”
The number of militants trapped at the encounter site is yet to be known and intermittent firing was said to be going on between the two sides.
Meanwhile, security forces have besieged the encounter site, with more reinforcement called to the spot after the contact with militants was established.
