JAMMU (CNI) National Conference (NC) President Dr Farooq Abdullah on Friday filed an FIR against People’s Conference chief Sajjad Ganilon for his role in the alleged rigging of the 1987 Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections. dismissed his remarks and said “she should do whatever she feels like.”
Lone said on Wednesday that the trial against NC president Farooq Abdullah and others for their role in alleged election rigging would be the biggest confidence-building step towards Kashmiris.
“As far as 1987 is concerned, I firmly believe that even today the biggest CBM (Confidence Building Measure) for Kashmiris would be an FIR against Farooq Sahib, Congress leaders and Nakwar Shahs for rigging the election. has been nominated for,” Lone told reporters. Wednesday in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
“I understand what you are saying. I have heard it. According to his will, Lon Sahib can do whatever he can,” Abdullah said in response to a question on Lon’s remarks.
To another question on PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti’s remarks on contesting elections in Kashmir, he said, “Can I stop anyone from contesting elections? This is a free country.
