SRINAGAR: (CNI) National Conference (NC) President Farooq Abdullah along with his son and the party will participate in India Bloc’s ‘Lok Tantra Bachao Rally’ at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi on Sunday.
There is an India block event at the Ramlila Maidan in Delhi. From NC, our president Farooq Abdullah will attend it, party vice-president Omar Abdullah told reporters here.
Asked about reports that he would contest the Lok Sabha elections from North Kashmir’s Baramulla constituency, Jr. Abdullah said that rumors are spread during elections.
“Whether I contest or not, or from where I contest, it is not my personal choice, it is the decision of the NC. Whether the party wants to give me the mandate or not, and from which seat, I leave it to the party and I can’t say anything on that,” he said.
The former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir said that the party will announce the names of its candidates when it is in a mood to do so.
“Why are you anxious to know who will be our candidate? Which party apart from Sajjad Lone has announced candidates for three seats in Kashmir? You are only after NC because everyone is waiting for us.
“We will announce it when we are in a mood (to do so). It could be after the notification or even on the last day for filing nominations,” Abdullah added. (CNI)
