Tahir bhat cniReasi, CNI NEWS Government Degree College Reasi successfully organized the Valedictory Function of the Summer Internship Programme 2026, conducted in collaboration with Raftaar Samachar.
A total of 19 students participated in the internship—11 from the Urdu Department and 8 from the Hindi Department. The programme provided students practical training in journalism, news and report writing, print and electronic media, photography, camera handling and multimedia skills.
The programme commenced with a welcome address by Prof. Irfan Ali, HOD Urdu. Prof. Mamta Gupta, Principal, GDC Reasi, presided over the function and appreciated the efforts of both departments in providing students with valuable career-oriented exposure.Mr. Arjun Singh, Editor, Raftaar Samachar and Mentor of the Internship, appreciated the enthusiasm and participation of the students and guided them in developing
practical journalism skills.Mr. Surinder Kumar Sharma, Chief Guest, lauded the college initiative and appreciated the students’ enthusiasm. Mr. Rahul Kumar, Guest of Honour, emphasized the growing importance of multimedia journalism and encouraged students interested in journalism to pursue it as a profession.Rahul Kapoor, Ajay Singh, Aman Sharma were also presented on this occasion guest of honour The college expressed sincere gratitude to Raftaar Samachar and its team for their valuable support and guidance throughout the internship.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof. Pooja Dheman, HOD Hindi. The successful internship reflected GDC Reasi’s commitment to skill development, experiential learning and career-oriented education. CNI NEWS
