Charar Sharif : In a remarkable display of devotion and unity, the biggest procession in connection with Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) was held today in Tehsil Sadar Maqam, Budgam District at Charar Sharif Thousands of people gathered to honor the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), making the event one of the largest religious gatherings in the region.
From early morning, seven major processions commenced from different areas of the district, converging at Dargah Alamdar Malik Kashmir in Charar Sharif. These processions, coming from places such as Jas, Nagam, Lolipura, Dadhavanpur and Krishapurafollowed a traditional route that had been planned weeks in advance. Another significant procession was organized by Shaikhul Alam Darul Uloom, adding to the vibrant religious atmosphere of the day.
In addition to the main processions, smaller gatherings took place throughout the district, with areas like Sausiar, Gogja Pathri, and Rangarh seeing thousands of devotees joining the spiritual movement. The processions carried banners, and devotees sang religious hymns and recited Naats (poems praising the Prophet), creating a reverent and celebratory atmosphere.
The local administration, anticipating the large turnout, made special arrangements for crowd control, traffic management, and the safety of participants. Medical camps and volunteers were stationed at key points to assist attendees, ensuring the smooth flow of the procession. Security forces were also deployed to ensure peace and order during the celebrations.
