Damage apple orchards & fruit crops
Baramulla, 25 May (Ashiq Tilgami-CNI) :Hailstorm, Gusty winds accompanied by heavy rains lashed the apple orchards and fruit crops in Baramulla areas of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on thursday .
Reports reaching News-agency Current News of India (CNI) that the apple orchards and fruit crops were affected by hailstorm and heavy rains in Baramulla areas including Wanigam , Wagoora Belt, Rafiabad and other Villages.
Reports adds that hailstorm and heavy rains lashed for minutes in the said areas caused heavy loss and put farmers into distress.
Fruit crops has been flattened by this hailstorm, heavy rains and dashed our all hopes said a farmer Majeed Ahmad .
Meanwhile apple growers and farmers appealed the district administration for compensation of their losses .(CNI)
