Bilal veri cniSrinagar, (CNI NEWS): The Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh High Court has taken a stern view of non-compliance with its directions, issuing bailable warrants of ₹10,000 each against the Deputy Commissioner (DC)

Pulwama and two other officials.The action came after the officials allegedly failed to comply with the court’s earlier directions in a Public Interest Litigation concerning the proposed Faecal Sludge Treatment Plant (FSTP) and alleged waste dumping at Newa village in Pulwama.A Division Bench headed by Chief Justice Dr Justice Pushpendra Singh Bhati, along with Justice Rajnesh Oswal, noted that despite being given a final opportunity, the officials neither submitted the required affidavits nor appeared personally before the court.

Taking a firm stance on the matter, the court directed that the warrants be executed through the concerned Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP). The case has been listed for further hearing on October 5.The PIL raises serious concerns over alleged waste dumping at Newa and the environmental implications of the proposed treatment facility. The latest order underscores the court’s insistence that its directions must be complied with and cannot be disregarded by government officials. CNI NEWS
